Club News: January Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:09 PM with 15 members present, 4 excused and 0 absent.

Raffle tickets for the $250.00 "Scratch Ticket" fundrasier, were handed out to all the members. The tickets are $10.00 each and every member is resposible to sell (or buy) 5 tickets.

All of the permits are in for our 2010 Tournament Schedule except for Long Pond, Lakeville for which we foresee no problem; and Scott Lennox will get the OK for Sampsons Pond.

Also discussed was the Steve Pimental Tournament.....We are dropping the entry fee from $150.00 to $100.00 in the hopes that it will attract more anglers. We will also try more advertising by... word of mouth, flyers, and the internet....so HELP "SPREAD THE WORD"

The 500 point /$5.00 "DING PENALTY" for missing a meeting without calling an officer (an extremely sore point) was brought up .... and some members want to abolish this rule. At this time ... it is the middle of the season and it cannot be eliminated until new officers are elected in August.

There will NOT be a FEBRUARY MEETING because of the Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010.
